Aqu\u00ed tienes el paso a paso completo para que sepas exactamente qu\u00e9 va a pasar cuando vayamos a tu casa.<\/p>\n<h2>1. Water test and system choice<\/h2>\n<p>Before touching anything. We measure your water (<a href=\"\/en\/tds-agua-que-es\/\">TDS<\/a>, hardness, chlorine), check the space under your sink and choose the right <a href=\"\/en\/como-elegir-equipo-osmosis-casa\/\">system<\/a> : with a tank or compact direct-flow, with or without a remineralizer. Fixed quote.<\/p>\n<h2>2. What you need beforehand<\/h2>\n<p>Just three things:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Cold water supply<\/strong> under the sink (the standard tap's, with a shut-off valve).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Accessible drain<\/strong>: we'll use the trap to connect the system's <em>reject water<\/em> line.<\/li>\n<li><strong>A small spot<\/strong> on the countertop or sink to fit the <strong>dedicated tap<\/strong> (sometimes an existing hole cover is reused).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>3. Water shut-off and unit assembly<\/h2>\n<p>We close the main shut-off valve or the one under the sink. We place the unit (with or without a tank, depending on the chosen model) and fix it if needed. Modern compact units don't even need screws: they just sit in place.<\/p>\n<h2>4. Connecting to the cold water supply<\/h2>\n<p>We fit a <strong>branch valve<\/strong> (\u00abcollar\u00edn\u00bb) sobre la toma de agua fr\u00eda del fregadero. De ah\u00ed sale una <strong>flexible hose<\/strong> (1\/4 inch) runs to the unit. Osmosis feeds on cold water only; never hot.<\/p>\n<h2>5. Connecting to the drain<\/h2>\n<p>The membrane produces a percentage of <strong>reject water<\/strong> carrying the concentrated salts. Dedicated tap<\/h2>\n<p>The treated water comes out of an independent tap we fit on the countertop or the sink itself. It's a small, elegant tap with its own hose to the unit. Usually chrome, though black or gold finishes are available on request.<\/p>\n<h2>7. Start-up and flushing<\/h2>\n<p>Con todo montado, abrimos la llave y dejamos que el sistema se purgue: el primer dep\u00f3sito de agua se descarta (todav\u00eda hay aire y \u00absabor\u00bb a filtro nuevo). Comprobamos que no hay fugas en ninguna conexi\u00f3n y medimos el <a href=\"\/en\/tds-agua-que-es\/\">TDS<\/a> at the outlet: it should read under 50 ppm if all is well.<\/p>\n<h2>8. Handover and maintenance scheduling<\/h2>\n<p>We show you how the tap works, note the date for the <a href=\"\/en\/mantenimiento-filtros-osmosis\/\">annual filter change<\/a> and leave you in writing which model you have, which filters it uses and its warranty.<\/p>\n<h2>How long it takes<\/h2>\n<p>A standard installation usually takes <strong>1-2 hours<\/strong>. More complex installs (a tap hole to drill, an odd trap, hospitality with several outlets) can take half a day. We always leave with the system running and no mess behind.<\/p>\n<h2>Can you do it yourself?<\/h2>\n<p>With a domestic kit and some skill, yes. But common mistakes include fitting cartridges in the wrong order, over-tightening a seal and cracking it, or leaving air in the line.
