The usual reverse osmosis questions, straight answers

What is reverse osmosis and how does it work?
It's the most complete water filtration system for the home: water passes through 5 stages, and in the main one a semipermeable membrane traps limescale, salts, heavy metals, chlorine and microplastics. The unit is installed under the sink and has its own tap for drinking and cooking.
Is the water in Malaga and Marbella bad?
It's drinkable and safe, but it's hard water with a lot of limescale, and depending on the area and season it can taste of chlorine or earth. Reverse osmosis makes it far more pleasant for drinking and cooking, and removes the limescale that ruins coffee machines and kettles.
How much does a reverse osmosis system cost?
It depends on the system and your installation, which is why the first step is the free water test: we measure your water and give you a fixed quote, no surprises. For a family that buys bottled water, the system usually pays for itself in a few months.
What maintenance does it need?
Very little: change the filters roughly once a year and the membrane every 2-3 years depending on use. We keep track and let you know when it's due — nothing for you to worry about.
How long does installation take?
The installation is clean and takes an hour or two: the unit goes under the sink and only a small tap is added next to the main one. In Malaga and Marbella we usually book you in within 24-48 working hours.
Do I really save compared to bottled water?
